Whose Bad?

I’d be interested to hear others’ opinions on yesterday after a night’s sleep.

I came to the game at about 35 mins in and, scanning the blog, saw lots of comments about how we were spreading the ball about well, nice flow etc etc. The first half seemed to peter out a little and if anything Watford looked to be gaining a little energy.

Out we came for the second and, although predominantly on top, we didn’t really look like we were in full control…and this appeared to get even worse after we scored. Watford played a great spoiling game, scrapping for (and winning) everything. Suddenly we looked soft as a freshly laid turd. Our defending at the set pieces was unforgivable. Deeney unmarked for the first. No clear call for the second. Not good enough. Not by a long chalk.

Well before this game, the idea of Dembele as a solitary DM with a Back 3 had been discussed on this blog. The idea was that it could make us that bit more expansive or creative (Taff disagrees as we’re all aware) Dier does what he does so well but it’s often so completely unfussy that I find it a touch stifling. All the more so when it’s him and Dembele/Sissoko (!) next to each other. Seems it worked for 30 mins but then he dropped off and we lost control and bite in the middle there. It’s pretty clear now that Dembele can function at a great level for <30 mins to add control. He’s a bench player now.

So Poch didn’t rectify that developing deteriorating situation and it cost us.

On the other hand, too many others didn’t show up either. Watford fought hard to defend, but we should have scored 2 more and definitely not conceded more than 1.

We move on, but will we learn? It’s rather early in the season to have used up the ‘It was just an off-day’ card. Doesn’t leave us much room for manoeuvre when tired legs kick in after a big CL night.

On the plus side, nice to see Winks back and looking sharp, confident and like he wanted to play. I hope as he believes in his ankle more, he’ll begin to risk the 20-40 yard forward balls that made him look like he could be a starter for us. We all lose when he plays safe.

Finally, 2 points better off than at this point last season. So shoot me.

    BANG!

  • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:00 am

We got caught up in a playground fight and the bad boys hit us and ran off with our lunch money.

This was predictable. Poch choose precisely the wrong team to leave Dembele alone at DM against, he wasn’t facing a sulking Pogba today. You would have said start Dier in there all day long, this would have allowed Eriksen to move forward and work his magic quicker and closer to Kane and Lucas. Crossing wasn’t effective against this mob. Pochettino didn’t respond, he made changes too late.

  • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:05 am

The other point I wished to make concerned the impact of Lloris. We know he is a quiet lad, no shouting or histrionics normally, but I wonder if he would have organised the defence against the set prices better. Were we missing his captaincy in the box?

Unfortunately this is not a science experiment; we can’t repeat it with Lloris in goal instead of Vorm. This is speculation.

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:06 am

      *Pieces not prices!! 😁

I read it as pieces. Shoot me now!

    Morning, all.
Missed the match due to family commitments so don’t have much to contribute to the discussion. From what I can glean, most fans seem to be saying Poch got it wrong yesterday. It’s a shame but maybe an early wake-up call to Poch and the lads. Have to hope Poch can have them galvanised for the tricky fixture vs the Pool.

A quick question from me though – I missed all the pre-match chat and speculation. Do we know why Lloris didn’t play? Poch’s way of disciplining him in a supposed ‘lesser fixture’, having opted to play him vs Yanited just days after ‘the incident’…? I like Vorm but, like Chauvelin, I wonder if we’d have conceded two with Hugo in the net, clean sheet vs Yanited and all…

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:39 am

Thigh strain is given as the reason. Wonder if he’ll play for France though?

      • Bardamu 03/09/2018 at 9:45 am

        Probably 😒

  • Elyid 03/09/2018 at 9:25 am

” Chauvelin – I agree, we were mugged by the big fellas, should never of happened but it did, our Rolls Royce defenders were battered by the Lada’s.
I also feel that having the option of Moura is causing a few problems with Eriksen, he didn’t seem to know quite where to put himself yesterday.
Dembele wasn’t at his best but I think it is difficult for him without someone like Dier behind. Dier cops quite a lot of criticism but he has a presence, puts himself about and does the less glamorous stuff well, a bit like Watford really.

  • Bruxie 03/09/2018 at 9:27 am

Big lads in midfield and we left Dier out.
His face was like thunder when the cameras caught him on the subs bench.

Managers are human too. They can make mistakes.

Dier is the go to man for a battle. Sadly Moussa is not a fitting replacement for Dier.

  • DAVID 03/09/2018 at 9:31 am

There was a spell just before their first goal yesterday where there were a serious of tough challenges and they appeared to win them all, this brought their supporters more into the game and we seemed to shrink in stature, they were more up for the battle than us.
Very disappointed as Watford were pretty average and offered little apart from hard work and physicality but that was enough to undo us.
Dembele appears to have slowed greatly in recent times, age and injury probably taking their toll.

  • DAVID 03/09/2018 at 9:34 am

What happened to putting a defender on the post at corners ? Can’t believe how many goals are scored from corners where neither post is covered.

  • Danspurs 03/09/2018 at 9:37 am

I thought it was a better performance than the one we put in at Watford last season, where we managed to nick a draw. Win against Liverpool and we have identical records having landed a body punch to a direct rival and three points off top spot at worst. Lose and we’re playing catch up again.

  • Matt 03/09/2018 at 9:37 am

I’m a fan of Dier. I suspect Watford were delighted he didn’t start. I’m defence of Poch he’s probably trying to give a few people the odd day off, it was a long summer.

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:44 am

Dier gets a fair amount of criticism (I’m not referring to this blog) from fans but yesterday showed what we missed in the middle of the park.
Ironic that his best advertisment came from the hole left by his absence. Maybe it took that to shut up some of the more silly trolling.

      • Bardamu 03/09/2018 at 9:49 am

Could we have done with a Capoue type enforcer out there…?
Always liked him as a player. Ironic if he’s the type we’re now missing.

        • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 9:54 am

Capoue had a really good game against us yesterday. He kept Eriksen at bay and really destroyed our link up play around the edge of the box.
This Watford performance was pretty good. Reminded me of Wimbledon’s Crazy Gang for the effort and muscle ‘ in yer face’ attitude. I reckon they will beat the likes of Arsenal and United too.

          • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 10:02 am

It’s academic now, I know, but Capoue really shouldn’t have been playing at all following his attempted shredding of Zaha’s Achilles tendon last weekend.

            • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 10:05 am

Didn’t see that incident but he was all over us yesterday.

  • GDawg 03/09/2018 at 10:18 am

Bummer. We looked bright early on, we looked like the better team but we lost control of the midfield and Watford snaffled two goals. That 5 man midfield just couldn’t get ascendancy

  • Flat Oeuf 03/09/2018 at 10:37 am

Just to add, I do not like Davies and Tripps together in a Back 5. Shirley the point of playing Wing Backs is their ability to go round the oppo’s Full Backs? I know we got a lot of crosses in (Thirty something) but they defended all but 6 of them with ease. This tells me they were coming from angles which playe into their hands, when what we needed was getting more cutbacks from the byline, causing problems like the one that led to our goal. It ain’t blockit science.

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:13 am

Add to that, if the game plan from the start was to sling in crosses against a strong physical side, do you leave your tallest, specialist header of the ball on the bench? If any game could have justified Llorente starting alongside Kane this was it. And he’d be useful defending set pieces. There was no room for the scampering Lucas to use his pace as Watford didn’t set a high line or try to play an offside trap and he could have been rested for this one.

  • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:15 am

The plain fact is that Pochettino wanted Spurs to play football, but Watford wanted to use their physicality, mix it up and play head tennis. And their tactics won out.

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:25 am

Spurs have never been a rough tough team. We’ve had the occasional bruisers like Graham Roberts and before him Don McAllister, but generally players like Ben Thatcher don’t fit in at Tottenham, the fans don’t like the ugly style of play.

      • Elyid 03/09/2018 at 11:35 am

Agreed but I think Dier can do the ruff stuff without the thuggery

      • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 11:39 am

It didn’t help our cause yesterday that we had two powder-puff tackle merchants in the form of Eriksen and Moura. Against a team that wants to play football we can probably accommodate the pair of them, but when we’re playing a more physical outfit I would suggest we’re better off employing either/or but not both.

        • Hartley 03/09/2018 at 11:45 am

Horses for courses innit, yesterday was always going to be rough going and Dier was essential, Dembele and Moura not so much.

        • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 11:55 am

it wasnt that they are powder puff tackle merchants it was that they and Dele etc didnt create anything and Kane couldnt buy any space.

  • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 11:46 am

In the first half we were flowing with great interaction passes between our players. Using just one DM who was Dembele and haveing 5 across the back it allowed a lot of space for Dele and Eriksen to work the ball. With all the movement and everything,Watfords defence made no mistakes, their positions they kept. Any balls through to Kane or Moura were met with really tight space so it wasnt easy even with all the movement.
There was little penetration and it needed something special but both Eriksen and Dele from a service point of view couldnt provide that thing. We couldnt even muster a good long shot.
Moura and were chasing but had space and were worked well by the Watford defence.

In the end what beat us wasnt Dembele average game (in a position he isnt used to) it was 2 high balls that none of the Totenham defence could reach. We just had too many players together and no one actually taking responsibility (man marking) . The first one Verts and I think Sanchez were covering the player they didnt jump (it was a great cross by the way) and Toby came from nowhere over all of them and missed it completely and Watford scored.
and then they got another similar one.
I put this down to Watford playing agreat game in defence and they are a good physical team that didnt let us dominate them that way

    • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 03/09/2018 at 11:55 am

Think it needs reminding that Watford are no patsy’s at the moment and would give all of the top six a serious challenge. We weren’t quite at the races but it’s fine margins and with a bit of luck we could have at least got a draw. It hurts but it’s not a mortal wound.

      • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 12:12 pm

I agree Andy. They made few mistakes and we couldnt get that little piece of land to make a goal. Not Kane with all his individual talent as a striker, not a long shot from others that might have scored on another day,no really moments of magic from Eriksen and Dele and nothing special from Moura. Nothing. But we still played relatively well.
They were like, sorry for the expression,Leicester,in that everything seemed to go right even if they didnt do that much going forward. They were formidable in defence though. A one off for me.

  • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 12:20 pm

I thought we were pance yesterday from start to finish. There was no sense of urgency to our play at all, almost as if we expected to just turn up and come away with the three points. We managed just two shots on target all game and against a pub side like Watford that simply isn’t good enough.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 12:31 pm

Their defence is not a pub defence. They played that perfectly and marked us out of the final third. We also may have been looking ahead to next weeks game as well as the big one when the big one is always the one in front of us. Still Watford frustrated us. And with all out tall defemders who are quite capable at defnding high balls our boys left the stadium nowhere to be seen. I thought we were not taking a man each in that case infact we had too many around the ball, the crosses were perfect for them and they scored.
We created little with all our flow, nothing went through to the front.

  • Sexy Beast 03/09/2018 at 12:23 pm

Pooch saw what not many if any of us saw coming, he spoke of a crash after Monday nights game and he was so right.
I like the players just couldn’t see anything other than a spurs win and that 1 or 2% drop off plus not changing the system was enough.
Two years ago we beat them one nil at the Lane and the Watford manager called us “animals” yesterday it was them who were the animals and we had the look of an arrogant side who only needed to turn up to win.
    I’m still smarting 😡

    • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 12:28 pm

Me too. I’m more upset about yesterday’s result (and performance) than I was about last year’s FA Cup semi-final defeat. We can’t be losing to the Watfords of this world if we want to be taken seriously as title challengers.

      • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 03/09/2018 at 12:36 pm

Sorry Taff, disagree on that. Such is the nature of the PL that on any given day any team can win. Its by far the hardest league in the world. Watford are having a great run of form so if they maintain it I can easily see them taking points off the rest of the top 6. Problem is that I don’t think they can maintain it so its possible we lucked out. Yes, all things considered we should have won but it just seems a bit ungracious to assume that we should always beat Watford or any others that are usually lower down the league.

        • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 12:38 pm

          100% correct Andy

        • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 12:44 pm

Great run of form? Come on. They’ve won four games and they were very lucky to beat Palace last time out. They are an extremely limited outfit and we allowed them to boss us with their physicality.

Come back to me after Utd have dismantled them and we’ll talk more about their top-six credentials then.

          • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 12:51 pm

Absolutely *BINGO*. Watford are Championship standard cloggers. They thrive on chaos and we allowed ourselves to be drawn in to their madness. We *must* impose our game on teams like Watford because City, Chelsea and Liverpool certainly will.

            • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:00 pm

They have let in 3 goals in 4 games and scored the same amount as the mighty Tottenham

Why? WE are not playing the game we just played in the new year.

Was Real Madrid at the end of the season the team we played earlier?

                  • fatty B 03/09/2018 at 2:14 pm

Sorry, I’m not sure what you’re saying. You seem to be saying that Watford are a good side and you make a comparison between Watford and the mighty Spurs suggesting that we are equals.
I’m saying Watford aren’t a good side and won’t trouble any of the tops sides like they did us but.
Watford won the game because we were ineffective from start to finish, not because they are a good side.
I’m suggesting we revisit this result in the new year when both sides have enough results behind them to make a better judgment. I expect to see Spurs in the top four and Watford beneath the top ten having not beaten anyone else in the the top four.

I watched Dele really getting into the game.Good footwork etc but he forgot one thing and that was making something happen. He forgot that part.
Eriksen really was on the fringes of the game really not that involved and yet his position was key as he did have the room but created nothing.
Moura seemed a half a step too slow in this one and couldnt get the edge on his man. Kane the same

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 12:37 pm

Dembele couldn hold the position and he too didnt help.
Trippier I though had a good game.
The 3 CB’s looked good except in the two critical crosses they didnt do the job.

      • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 03/09/2018 at 12:39 pm

I only watched the first half but based on that we were by far the better side imo. Assume the second was more the other way but even so unless we were overrun I’d say we deserved a point.

        • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 12:41 pm

We didn’t, in my ever-so ‘umble opinion.

          They deserved what they got

  • Sexy Beast 03/09/2018 at 12:53 pm

Sad to say it but Dembele is becoming a liability these days with the free kicks he gives away

    • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 12:58 pm

He also gave the ball away three times in dangerous areas inside the first ten minutes of the second half. If you want to hand the initiative to your opponents this seems like a very good way of going about it.

      • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:03 pm

Poch took a chance in using Dembele in the DM role.It turned out to be a mistake. BUt that wasnt critical in the loss. What it did was gamble that it we would have more players attacking. Unfortunately they couldnt muster any creativity. That was the problem

        • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 2:20 pm

Of course it was critical to the loss! It meant we had no guts in midfield, no steel, only a player who seems to lose the ball a great deal more than he used to and than he should. How you can argue that a poorly picked, poorly performing player isn’t critical to a defeat is eye-watering.

  • HD 🇺🇸 03/09/2018 at 1:02 pm

I thought there were some bright spots in our first half play. We did create space and some opportunities. In the second half I expected the kind of response we saw at Old Trafford but that did not happen. We got mugged off and our play deteriorated. I was impressed by Watford’s defensive resolve and I thought Vicarage Road was alive for their side. We did not show the heart needed to win there and that is a worry. It is easy to blame a player or two but in the end, for me, it was a collective failure. Granted a loss can happen at any time but if this squad thinks they can compete for the title they have to show it every match. They can’t pick and choose which match to show up for and that includes everyone, including the manager and his team choices.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:04 pm

  • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:07 pm

I also thought when our defence was clearing the ball especially in the 2nd half 90% of the time in went to a yellow shirt

    • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 1:11 pm

Second half we weren’t winning the 50-50 balls. Doucoure, Capoue and Hughes were too energetic for our lads. They didn’t look like they enjoyed that game at all and shrank away.

  • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 1:09 pm

Never mind chaps. The good news is that after the break we’ll have Wanyama and Winks available to inject some energy into the middle of the park. A rest is needed for Dembele, I still like him but I reckon he’s more tired than appreciated.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:10 pm

      I agree with that too

  • Superspoz 🏆 03/09/2018 at 1:18 pm

Alright peeps, didn’t watch the game yesterday but it sounds like we were battered. The team sheet looked adventurous and my initial thought was that Dembele was going to be the key man in that line up but it’s apparent now that he wasn’t. This break has come at a good time now imo. Let them suffer for a couple of weeks. I expect nothing less then a spurs win against Liverpool.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:32 pm

Dembele was the key man. The idea was that we had one DM,Dembele and no CM’s but that Eriksen and Dele would play in the CM positions. The idea was to create more fluidity from the half way line.
It worked in the first half as all the play virtually was in the Watford half but we couldnt get any clear shots in. There was nothing special by any of those 200 million pounds worth of players that were flowing in the Watford half as the created ultimately nothing.
Dembele somehow is taking the blame. He didnt play well,it was one of his worst games. He was playing out of position too but this game wasnt his fault. He was only the key man in allowing more players to play attacking ahead of him.
200 million quids worth of talent ahead of him and nothing to show for it

      • Superspoz 🏆 03/09/2018 at 1:48 pm

That makes sense Ron. The two shots on target is a terrible stat over 90 minutes as is the 2 goals conceded stat. Not good enough with a back 3 and a front 5.

        • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:56 pm

Poch gambled that Eriksen,Moura,Dele and Kane would get the business done. They go the passing right but not the penetration. But Watford’s defence was a good part of that. They tackled tough and wouldnt give an inch anywhere near the goal.

On the other side, the CB’s should have defended the crosses for the goals better (the crosses were right on) We had enough players back to defend them..maybe they got in the way of each other.

The game was more about our lack of penetration into their box and they were defending it well

          • Superspoz 🏆 03/09/2018 at 2:14 pm

It sounds to me, the Watford players were more up for it then we were.

            • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 2:25 pm

We were fancy-Dans playing a charity exhibition match for a cause no-one believed in. Watford were a Sunday morning pub side who took advantage of our insouciance. Nothings ng more than that.

  • TCY 03/09/2018 at 1:23 pm

Many intelligent remarks above. I have nothing to add. I’ll just emphasize
—Watford out muscled us after our goal
—our lads did not commit 100% to the game
—Dier and Danny should have played.

I know some will disagree with that but we were starting everything down the right side and could have varied the attack if Rose were on the left.

I need some advice. I’m after an iPad. It’s to run a music production app called cubasis. I had the windows 98 version 20 years ago and the good people at Steinberg have released it again but it’s only compatible with an iPad. The iPad has to be iOS 9 or above, I have no idea what that is. I’m looking for a used one but I’m about to eat my own head browsing through eBay and gumtree. I think I need a 3rd generation device.

  • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 03/09/2018 at 1:56 pm

My last thoughts on the subject (until I get any more) is that 8 maybe 9 times out of 10) we would normally beat somebody like Watford. Yes praps we should always expect to beat them but isn’t that what Reals fans would say about playing us? It’s what makes the game as exciting as it is that on any day a David can beat a Goliath. If it didn’t then what’s the point of it. We failed to perform on the day and it will possibly happen again this season. But if every team played like they’re capable of every time then it would be Championship Manager. Even the Poohs and the Citehs will have an off day or two this season, shirley? It ultimately boils down to how many you’re going to have. The fewer and the more chance to win summat. Its just one loss but hurts more because its only Watford.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 1:59 pm

Agreed Andy thats the reality. Yes the swords can come out for a particular player as they often do to rationalize a whole lot of bias but the reality was the reality

      • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 03/09/2018 at 2:02 pm

I can only base my assessment on the first half but I can’t honestly say that Dembele shone out as the weak link that others say he was.

        • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 2:26 pm

We lost the game in the second half …

    • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 2:22 pm

I agree. We had a stinker of a match and handed the result to a rubbish Watford side.

  • Hartley 03/09/2018 at 3:05 pm

Dembele was the wrong player for that position in that game, that was clear as the game went on. Had Dembele been subbed for Dier after our ‘lucky’ goal in a game we were clearly struggling to create then we would not have lost that game.

    • HD 🇺🇸 03/09/2018 at 3:14 pm

      I agree with this.

    • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 03/09/2018 at 3:28 pm

I dont disagree that it may have been better with Dier. But nothing was any guarantee as it wasnt Dembele alone that was innefective it was most of our team. Its not like Dier has never had a bad game but on the other hand he is more suited to being a DM than Dembele. Maybe Poch thought that Dembeles distribution would be better, but Dembele hasnt been playing well in general. Still I still put the blame on Eriksen,Dele,Moura and Kane to have more quality shots and not getting through enough than picking out Dembele as THE culprit.
And as to Fattys idea to who this team was a pub side he says.Do we have pub forwards? How is it that this Whitbread suds lot and Dembele are the two that actually made us have a measely 2 shots on target all game???????????????????????????????

What’s the advice that you need?

        • Fatty B 03/09/2018 at 4:42 pm

Those specs will be the very minimum you need to run the music software.

My understanding is that ios9 on an iPad 3 is possible but you would be at the limit of that iPad’s capabilities.

Anything after the iPad 3 would be better in terms of future use. Basically, buy the best/newest iPad you can afford.

          • Superspoz 🏆 03/09/2018 at 4:49 pm

Yeah that’s what I was thinking but i was hoping to keep the cost down to a minimum. I’ve joined the Steinberg forum and asked for advice and, basically for what I need to do, that’s all I need, as in the iOS 9. All will become clear as soon as i cash in the copper scrap I’ve been collecting. Thanks

          • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 4:49 pm

Also , do you have any idea as to the size and quantity of the files/music you are storing. As you may need a larger storage capability on the iPad. You may need a 64 GB or 128GB. If you purchase a smaller say 16GB or 32GB and it starts to reach it’s storage capacity it will effect the performance of the software. Unless you have an external back up facility.

            • Superspoz 🏆 03/09/2018 at 4:52 pm

I was thinking 32 gb as I have an external hard drive I can my stuff on. It’s going to be filled with samples and a few mp3s. No photos or anything like that, it will just be used to make music.

            • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 5:16 pm

Had a look and it seems you will be more than ok with a 32GB. The test samples on the software can need a decent amount of data which 16GB looks a touch too small, specially if you’re gonna blast David Guetta put the picture. Not an expert but if your backing up I’d go for that.

Just had another uplifting email from The Boy Hatespur. He’s taken exception to my comments viz his Sun article and is accusing me of stalking his wife online.

Remember his ‘big reveal’? Maybe that’s it. Maybe his ‘big reveal’ is that he thinks I stalked his wife online.

Harry, everyone knows what happened and how your entirely innocent wife got accidentally caught up in that mess of your own making. They also know that as soon as it was discovered that she had been caught up measures were taken to put the situation right.

Talking about stalking people’s wives online, one of the contributors to this blog told me the other day that a certain Harry Hotspur had been sniffing around his wife’s LinkedIn profile recently. Is that ‘stalking’?

Do yourself a favour and make your ‘big reveal’ and then move on with your life. Personally, I’ve no interest in passing your emails to me onto the Sun, so please, stop sending them to me. I’m not interested. I left your blog.

Everyone here knows what your ‘big reveal’ is, I told them all in an email. But if you think you’ve got something on me be brave and ‘reveal’ it. Or shall I? You choose. But if you don’t stop with your silly threats I will do it for you anyway.

By heck lad, what’s that all about?

          • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 7:57 pm

In chemical reactions, the scientist needs to know how many atoms or molecules of every substance are involved. As atoms of different substances have differing molecular weights, a mole of say, sodium weighs 22.98 grams whereas a mole of chlorine is 35.45g.

            • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 8:04 pm

There would be the same number of atoms of sodium and of chlorine so when combined (big reaction!) you should produce 1 mole of sodium chloride molecules (NaCl – salt).

I had a stalker once, i was knocking off this bird from Ealing (i won’t mention names, data protection and that Harry Hotspur being a grass) and gave her the Spanish Archers and thought nothing more about it. Then one night in a club in Ealing i pulled this little Polish sort and got her in the taxi rank outside and started snogging her chops off, being the old romantic that i am i was kissing her with my eyes closed and when i opened them the ex was standing right behind the bird i was snogging!! Frightened the life outta me.
I was in the chair i tell ya and that bitch ruined it for me!

Just had a quick decko at Hatespurs blog. It’s no wonder he was over here today, there’s NOTHING going on over there. He’s had about 25 comments since 11.40am.

I hope he does post more of our private admin chat. I expect anyone who reads it will feel nothing but love for the seven clueless blog virgin admins as they try to make sense of things, particularly how to recognise T** **y’s trolling.

I wonder how the GDPR authorities will interpret T** **y continuing to flame and threaten us even after we’ve exercised out right to be forgotton by him and his affairs. Not positively, is my guess.

      • Elyid 03/09/2018 at 8:55 pm

        • Fat Bertha 03/09/2018 at 9:08 pm

Yep. And there will be many more that join us, I’m sure. We’ve had something like 74 unique visitors today, many of whom will be our former comrades from over there. They are probably wondering if they would be welcome here. I think they would.

Dembele wouldn’t ‘ve got a game in that side.

        • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 10:54 pm

Come on , Moose was superb in all the big games last year. I agree he was pance v Watford bit he shouldn’t have been on his own there. Dier wouldn’t have done it on his own either. We got overrun in midfield. Poch went for the throat and it backfired. Was a bit much to drop Winky in for that one. The eye was also on the Pool game and that’s more important.

          • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 10:57 pm

It almost paid off. Dele should have finished than header and Kane too. That was game over

            • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 10:58 pm

Conceding two never looks as bad if you score three.

              • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:04 pm

Indeed. The goals we conceded were school boy stuff and I only lay a quarter of the blame to Dembele giving away the free kick . The owness was on the back 3 and the keeper. If it was Lloris hed get slated. He wouldn’t have hadn’t that. Tobes was at fault too. Anyways it was clear from the beginning that Pochs instructions weren’t being followed and thats his fault too. Anyways let’s spank the dippers and al is forgiven.

                • Hartley 03/09/2018 at 11:08 pm

Who the fuck is Al and why did he make us lose to Watford?

                  • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:10 pm

He thought we’d kill em off with our front boys and it almost worked, albeit not in style. He didn’t want us to lose.

                    • Hartley 03/09/2018 at 11:12 pm

If we do spank the bindippers then Al is forgiven.

He played a back 5 ffs, they should have coped with that. Tripper has been a bit off of his crosses and Eriksen was needed but was off.

May I say Watford played really well, gutsy and rode their luck fist half . They ain’t no pub team. They can play but respected us knowing theres no way they could outplay us with sexy footy but they will surely fuck Arse, Utd and Chelsea too.

                • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:18 pm

                  (*onus. ) Just sayin’.

          • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 11:19 pm

No he wasn’t. He didn’t play at all in the demolition of Liverpool at Wembley, nor in the draw at the Bernabeu and only featured for 10 minutes or so in the home game against Madrid (coming on after we were already 3-0 up).

And it was his mistake against Man U in the semi-final that let them back into the game.

The idea that he’s somehow vital to our success is a myth.

            • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:24 pm

                • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:36 pm

                  He’s decent enough.

This isn’t binary. The available choices aren’t just great or rubbish. Dembele’s best days are behind him but he can play his part in the squad. But he isn’t indispensable.

                  • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:40 pm

Agree yes and no. If we win the league/cup etc then his best days aren’t behind him.

he wasn’t very consistent before , as far as I can remember. He’s pretty consistent now. He’s never played in such a great team before.

                • Chauvelin 03/09/2018 at 11:38 pm

Factually, we’re keeping him because he apparently chose not to go to Inter. You can’t force a player to transfer.

                  • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:40 pm

                    He didn’t want to go

And if Poch told him hed play no part then he could have. He’s playing him why ????

            • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:29 pm

He played really well in the others Taff. Nice and Juve and Arse and … He is one helluva player and I know you have never felt that way so I can’t convince you but he iS a big game player, albeit now in limited doses. His talent is undisputed for me. Completely changed the game against Fulham. He was to blame for that Utd goal but again we should have been 3 up by half time. Kicked the shot out of Ramos too, you must have loveable that. I don’t blame him for the Utd game, or the gouging/poking/touching of Costa’s eye, id have butted him. He’s quality and used the right way, not leaving him on his own will work brilliantly. He’s not vital to our play it he’s close.

              • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 11:42 pm

He is not now nor never has been a big game player. He has the physicality, the talent and the experience to be bossing games from the centre of the park but he never does. Where was he in the battle of Stamford Bridge when we really needed him? Hiding, that’s where, leaving the likes of Eric Dier to get stuck in and do the dirty work.

For all his supposed physical strength he is too easily dispossessed, gives away far too many free kicks in dangerous areas and only makes a forward pass when a backwards or sideways one isn’t available.

He’s a fraud and a wage thief and I can’t wait to see the back of him in January.

What have Moussa Sissoko, Ben Davies, Serge Aurier and Georges-Kévin Nkoudou got in common?

They all scored more goals than Mousa Dembele last year.

                    • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:57 pm

Yeah not Mousa don’t take free kicks or penalties

                    • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:59 pm

For me that’s like saying that Eriksens scored less goals than Mousa has made interceptions, started play and had touches 😜

                    • AntSpurs 04/09/2018 at 12:01 am

You can’t have everything and that would be Maradona, if Mousa had that ability he’d be playing higher up the pitch. What he does do is what he’s needed for .

                • UnkleTaff 03/09/2018 at 11:49 pm

…okay, so maybe that last sentence was a bit strong — but I certainly don’t think we’ve got anything like our money’s worth over the six years he’s been with us.

                  • AntSpurs 03/09/2018 at 11:54 pm

This year we need him staff, he’s not indispensable but hopefully 😮 he can make it all worth it this year. Right now Poch needs to manage him well and he should be instrumental when it matters. He should have played with Dier for Watford but he’s a champions league player. More time etc, his hips are lying at the moment and he hasn’t got it on his own. When we lift a trophy he’ll play his part. COYYYS !

That’s rich coming from a club who got a free stadium with a little bit of work needed.

  • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 04/09/2018 at 12:16 pm

A word about Dembele. I just want to say that it would be true since there has been talk of Dembele going to Italy etc his performances has gone down. Infact this week he was probably our worst player. But I dont blame him for loss. As far as Im concerned others were also guilty.Like the players playing ahead of him that couldnt muster any creativity or the front men who were chasing rainbows. On the multitude of CB’s that couldnt jump.
But the point I would really get to is that Dembele over the past years how been one of the most solid players for us,he has been a stalwart in the middle of the park.Yes its probably time now or soon that he goes but we should never take anything away from the quality and often stability he brought for us.
To marginalize his value is a disgrace. Its brought on strictly by bias and hard headedness.
It would be true I have been a little biased to certain players at times but as I feel they change I call it. But its not out and out bias.
These attacks on Dembele are totally wide of the mark.

    • Chauvelin 04/09/2018 at 12:22 pm

I agree Ron. Singling out Dembele for the defeat as a scapegoat lets ten other players off the hook. And Pochettino who reacted too slowly. Dembers was left to struggle alone when Dier could have been introduced to destroy Watford’s attack.

      • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 04/09/2018 at 12:32 pm

In this particular game Poch threw Dembele in by himself with no real CM’s I think to give the attack more fluidity. It worked to a point but they could not ultimately open Warford up with 200 mil worth of Stars on our team.
Ooch probably though Dembele would be a better distributor than Dier, maybe.
Dembele who had not been playing great for the last while and it was a hell of a job for him to do seeing as he has rarely played DM and this ime with no CM’s. It didnt work and Dembele got overun.
Its not just about this game though.

    • Hartley 04/09/2018 at 12:30 pm

He is so infuriating to watch though, probably the most naturally gifted footballer on our books but he lacks belief in his own ability. Had Poch got hold of him earlier in his career he would have been one of the worlds greatest players, in that I have no doubt.

      • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 04/09/2018 at 12:35 pm

For most of the time he played I cant see where he was infuriating to watch. If he was a complete player,he would have been aone of the worlds best. But he lacks a bigger vision. He passes were always simple. But he mostly protected the ball,he constantly moved the ball forward and he was tough in his strength. But had he also been a creative passer with a big vision he would have been a Zidane etc. No he didnt have that but for many many games he was our best player that we could count on.Im not rubbing that history out

        • Hartley 04/09/2018 at 12:50 pm

Bertha, the problem with your Big Reveal is that it isn’t the truth. It’s a an obviously uneasy spin with bits of truth blended in.

You and Flatty thought it would be hilarious to create spoof Twitter accounts of me.
    But you went too far.

You added my real name to the avatar and my address to the account bio.
You then followed my wife, and possibly viewed her LinkedIn profile.

She wanted to contact the police, because quite rightly she felt threatened.

That’s what happened. Those are the facts.

As for bering ‘left alone’, try moving one with your life and not repeatedly publishing on a public forum your wish for malicious communications to be made about me to third parties.

As I pointed out to Flatty, you two tossers should be immensely grateful that I am only an unhinged monster in your own minds. Some blokes would lose the plot when their families are dragged into matters.

    • Fat Bertha 04/09/2018 at 1:14 pm

Why do you feel the need to post under fake names?

I thought my earlier post about your ridiculous ‘Big Reveal’ would draw you out.

Everybody that matters already knows exactly what happened with your wife. I will post the ‘Big Reveal’ shortly, so be sure to check in later.

Personally I’d love it if you did involve the police. I have everything, documentation and chronology, on the record.

Your wife was NEVER in any of our thoughts. N E V E R. Unfortunately you think we are as unhinged as you are. We’re not.

Malicious communications? That’s your field of play not mine, remember I have all the emails and screenshots to prove it. All the nasty comments, all the ‘outings’ you did, all the breaches of WordPress and Twitter and GDPR. The lot.

Stay tuned for the real ‘Big Reveal’.

By the way, if you really are jt1882 admitting it publically was very stupid. That comment goes.straight into the folder marked ‘GDPR’.

    • Fat Bertha 04/09/2018 at 1:21 pm

    Peter Baker
    Ron Henry
    Les Allen
    Terry Dyson
    We’re all average players
    Playing in great side

Dembele has been one of most solid players over a period with some of the best players we have ever had

He brought stability to so many games

This game he was played out of position and not been great this season
But to tear him down is a disgrace

  • Hartley 04/09/2018 at 2:50 pm

Each to their own Ron, I disagree with most of your second paragraph but I’m not going to let it get in the way of our beautiful relationship.

FYI, Les Allen had 49 goals a season in his ballsack and Terry Dyson was the catalyst for the first British European trophy win and the scorer and assister in the double final, all four were double winners so hardly average. Dembele has won fuck all.

So if my wife wasn’t in your thoughts – yet I have an apology from Flaty?

I’m toying with a t shirt range of your best quotes.

‘I want to end him digitally’ is a current front runner.

If you think the GDPR covers YOU sending me access to your 75 uniques a day empire, good luck with that.

A GDPR case from a pair of tossers who as of today’s date are even displaying a GDPR compliant notice?

Curious that your spoof Twitter account also mails followers using my blog as the ‘hook’ for clicking one yours.

You’ve behaved appallingly and in your defence you’ve got a file.
Which doesn’t include the shit you’ve been deleting.

I hope for your sake that file is soft, strong and reassuringly long.

    You sad little fellow.

    Guess Who

Talk about in denial. 75 unique users.
Shake your head. 7,500 is a quiet day for me.
You’ve got an Admin leaking and that’s okay?
Inciting malicious communications is also groovy?
    FFS.
    Oh, and yes, it is.

Whatever you think may be some big “betrayal”done by me or others, have you stopped to think that you may not be in possession of all of the facts even if you have all the admin back history? That there may be other emails, messages or whatever that may make up the whole picture? That maybe the bloke who’s fed you all of this stuff hasn’t told you everything? That maybe you’re being played, but that you’ve swallowed it whole because it suits your self-serving account of how a loyal readership left because they had had become tired of your views?
My guess is: No – it hasn’t crossed even your mind.
Because I have no doubt that I know exactly who you’re talking about and what they’ve led you to believe…and why.

    I’ve yards of this shite…
