They’re cobblers I tellya, cobblers!

It’s Saturday art’noon footynatics, and yes, we actually have a 3pm kick off for a change.

Today’s foray takes us to a land where the wooden wheel has only recently been invented (so they say), and where there’s always trouble at t’mill, Huddersfield!

So what awaits us at the end of our travels, besides 6’ of snow and torrential rain? Three bloody points is what, nothing else will suffice!

Who are the plucky chaps who will wear the famous Lily white today, and provide goal fest for our delectation I hear you say?

So with no further a do, I give you todays victors!

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:27 pm

    Good defending by Kane

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:29 pm

Great chance for Son, straight at the keeper, good break though

    • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:31 pm

Great ball by Kane. Even ignoring the goals, he’s looked much, much better for us today.

      • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:32 pm

Yep Kane has been sharp in everything he has done today, Moura also

  • Caspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:32 pm

    Where’s Lamela? Come on Poch.

    • Fatty B 29/09/2018 at 4:33 pm

I’d rather have him fresh for Barca.

      • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:35 pm

He’s not even played 180 mins this season Spurts.

        • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:38 pm

I wonder if Poch’s trying to manage his injuries with limited minutes.

          • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:40 pm

Gonna have to start playing him soon, his form has been top other than Kane & Moura

            • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:42 pm

Yep. Definitely agree. But if taking it easy now means we have him available as a starter for the majority of the season, I’m happy with that. I really rate him when he’s fit.

              • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:43 pm

                Me too 🙂

                • Fatty B 29/09/2018 at 4:45 pm

With Dele and Eriksen crocked it’s better we don’t risk Lamela today, I think.

                  • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:48 pm

                    I’m hearing that

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:33 pm

What is it with Dier today??!!! What an awful pass that was!!

    • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:34 pm

      I’m spitting feathers!

  • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:37 pm

    Moura puts in a shift.

    • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:41 pm

      He looks a great player

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:38 pm

    Dier found a green shirt!!!!

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:38 pm

    Great save Gazza!!!

  • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:39 pm

    Llorente please…

    • SeattleSpursGuy 29/09/2018 at 4:41 pm

      Never thought I’d hear that.

      • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:42 pm

Me neither, but it is Barca!

  • 61 Spurs Nut 🌰 29/09/2018 at 4:41 pm

Winks looks a bit hyper. Too many fouls.

  • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:42 pm

Spurs have been sloppy, poor passing and against better opposition we’d have paid the price. We’ve had chances to score and just haven’t been sharp up front with the final pass.

    • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:43 pm

We’ve been sharp up front, about the only area

      • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:43 pm

No goals second half says we haven’t been sharp.

        • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:45 pm

I’m afraid to say Liverpool would have buried this defence.

          • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:46 pm

            Ours or Huddersfield’s? Or both?

            • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:57 pm

Theirs. They’ll be here soon, bet it’s a painful goal fest.

              • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 5:11 pm

More than likely. As much as I hate them, they’ve bought really well and look better equipped to challenge than we do at the moment. They proved against us that they can miss a lot of chances and last season that they’re capable of dropping points against lesser lights. I’m almost hoping Chelsea turn them over tonight to see if they’ve got what it takes to respond to a set-back. Though I guess a draw with lots of sendings off would be best.

          • Fatty B 29/09/2018 at 4:51 pm

        • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:46 pm

Wanyama, Winks, Dier, not sure what you’re expecting?!

          • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:47 pm

This is how to close a game out, bring on Wanyama, job done.

            • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:48 pm

The W W combination in the middle has worked well

  • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:43 pm

    Another chance goes begging.

  • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:45 pm

    Nice by Wanyama there

  • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 4:52 pm

Son for Sissoko. And who said our bench isn’t strong? 😊

    • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 4:57 pm

      Or vice versa.

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 4:52 pm

It’s amazing how we all see the game differently! I have thoroughly enjoyed this one. I thought Huddersfield were excellent, never gave up never dropped their heads and their support has been phenomenal.
We in turn have defended the high ball well for a change and it looks as though we are going to turn them over 0-2. What’s not to like?

  • Fatty B 29/09/2018 at 4:53 pm

    Good cover from Dier.

    • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 4:59 pm

      too little too late 😉

  • SeattleSpursGuy 29/09/2018 at 4:55 pm

That’ll do. A lot of injuries, playing away and Barca on their minds, this was never going to be a classic

    • Fatty B 29/09/2018 at 4:59 pm

  • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 5:00 pm

You are a hard bunch to please

    • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 5:02 pm

We been hit by injuries, up to fourth playing below par, really can’t grumble. Acid test on Weds..

  • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:01 pm

Job done, itty bitty scrappy game. Three points, Kane gets two to boost his tally, clean sheet, United lost as well.

Bring on Barca. Their scouts won’t have a clue from this performance.

  • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:01 pm

Harry Kane was kicked, pushed and generally fouled all afternoon…

…but still managed to score the two goals that won us the game.

    • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:04 pm

He’ll be up for the golden boot yet again. He still isn’t in top gear so much more to look forward to from Kaneinho.

  • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 5:02 pm

Lots of positives to take from that, I felt. Not a great performance but I really enjoyed the game. Huddersfield were better than I expected and not because we made them look that way. Loved how Moura didn’t roll around bitching about not getting a penalty to get straight up and feed the ball back to Trippier to set up our first. Very nice to see Rose earn our second penalty. Other than one poor kick out, Gazzaninja looked really assured, and that’s the best I think I’ve seen Kane play for us or England since before he got crocked last season. Sitting in fourth, five points ahead of last season’s runners up, not even close to firing on all cylinders, but looking like we know how to create chances again. Got my ticket to Barca and my wife’s off out for a meal with friends tonight. As Elyid says up above, what’s not to like?

    • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:05 pm

Rose dived for the penalty. That’s what not to like.

      • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 5:06 pm

Clipped is clipped, pens a pen & we didn’t get Moura’s, so you really shouldn’t complain!

      • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 5:07 pm

I didn’t pick up on that, Taff. My first half feed was all over the place.

        • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:10 pm

It looked very, very soft to me. He got the slightest of tugs on his shirt, saw he wasn’t going to get to the ball in time, threw out his legs and hit the deck. Contact was not sufficient to send him to the floor in my view, which is why I’m saying it was a dive.

Just ’cause everyone else seems to do it don’t make it right in my view.

          • 61 Spurs Nut 🌰 29/09/2018 at 5:11 pm

Rose is our most accomplised diver, by some distance.

            • wasdanspurs 29/09/2018 at 5:15 pm

Fair comments by both of you. I don’t like diving, either. But I like the fact he was getting into those situations for us today more than he has for a while.

    • McG ⚽⚽ 29/09/2018 at 5:05 pm

It’s Kanes greatest start to a premier league campaign, people will have to shut the fook up soon enough!!

      • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:05 pm

        He’s just a four season wonder…

        • Matt 29/09/2018 at 5:07 pm

He’ll get found out. Defenders know what to do against him now. Clearly.

  • Chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:09 pm

All in all, there’s a lot more to come from this team. They can play much better and will. The fact we’ve amassed 15 points from 21 whilst not at our best is tremendous.

  • Shelfy 29/09/2018 at 5:12 pm

I enjoyed the game. Several positive points
1 We won everything in the air at the back even from set pieces and long throws
2 Kane looked on good form fought for an won almost everything
3 no Eriksen or Alli, no problem
4 Gaza looked good. Distribution good except one poor ball.
5 Rose getting back on form
6 Wanyama got his foot in to win numerous tackles in midfield and was very effective.

    • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:14 pm

Wanyama is a beast, no doubt of that. A green brick wall today.

    • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 5:20 pm

  • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:13 pm

I saw earlier this week that the Times are claiming that Grealish has a £45m release clause in the new contract he’s just signed.

Which, by a bizarre coincidence, is roughly the size of the FFP hole that Villa have to fill…

    • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:16 pm

They won’t be getting that from us. Hopefully they don’t meet FFP and get a nice points deduction, a hefty fine, and transfer embargoes.

      • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:18 pm

I’ve a feeling they will be getting it from us. Grealish’s comments in midweek seemed to indicate that was disappointed the move fell through. I fully expect us to go back in for him in January.

        • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:25 pm

In which case he would have been best advised not to sign a new contract.

Grealish: “Hey guys, I still want to join you but you’ll have to cough up another 20 million quid.”

          Levy: “And you are?”

          • UnkleTaff 29/09/2018 at 5:28 pm

He clearly loves Villa. Maybe he saw an opportunity to help them out of the hole they’re currently in and took it.

            • Caspurs 29/09/2018 at 5:32 pm

I don’t see us paying £45m for Grealish, and he isn’t £20m better than Madison.

            • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:33 pm

I suppose so. And if Levy had moved earlier in the window he might have got him. But he didn’t.

            • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:35 pm

If Levy doesn’t buy him, and nobody else pays what they want, in fact it’s helping no one. Not Grealish, not Villa, and not Spurs.

  • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:18 pm

There seemed to be a lot of handbags going on down both sidelines. Also players who don’t know where the white line is. Very annoying.

  • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 29/09/2018 at 5:20 pm

Harry Kane has scored more Premier League goals at the John Smith’s Stadium than any Huddersfield player (4)

  • Superspoz 🏆 29/09/2018 at 5:23 pm

The best thing about this game was the set piece defending. It was a problem which is strange in itself but it appears that a firm boot to the buttocks by Poch has sorted it out.

    • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:27 pm

Even with right footed Dier playing at LCB. Mind you, it was Huddersfield, who have a goal difference of -13.

    • Elyid 29/09/2018 at 5:27 pm

It was also very refreshing to come up against one of the “lesser” teams which did not park the bus, they made it a good game

  • chauvelin 29/09/2018 at 5:31 pm

Really irritating that L’arsehole have won 5 on the bounce. Two late goals to manage to beat Watford. Looks like in Sarri they’ve found the new George Graham.

From Der Spiegel: a woman claims Cristiano Ronaldo raped her in Las Vegas in 2009. She signed a settlement deal and NDA and received a payoff of $375,000. Now, the woman is going public, filing a complaint against Ronaldo.

The woman claims she met Ronaldo in a nightclub, he invited her and a few others to his suite to go in the jacuzzi. While she was changing he came into the room with his junk hanging out of his shorts. He tried to kiss her, the woman claims, but she refused. Ronny then jumped on her and raped her anally. Without a condom and without lubricant.

    Awful, if true.

When I watched Match Of The Day, until the stats came up I hadn’t twigged Spurs didn’t get a single corner yesterday. I can’t remember that happening before. Either Huddersfield didn’t block any of our efforts or we didn’t have much genuine impact. Unfortunately it was the latter, thank goodness Harry put that header away. The penalty was iffy.

  • Matt 30/09/2018 at 11:10 am

Watched Chelsea/ Liverpool. Up front they’re no better than us. But when they move forward they play at twice the pace we do. They are also not afraid to take players on. As well as a forward looking midfielder I think we neeed to tweak our philosophy a bit; more speed and commit opposition players a bit more.

    • UnkleTaff 30/09/2018 at 11:15 am

This is the price you pay for playing Dembele; we are far too slow in getting the ball forward when he’s in the team. Winks is a far more proactive player in my view. If a player makes a forward run he knows there’s a much better chance of Winks trying to find him with a pass than there is of Dembele doing likewise.

      • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 11:21 am

And yet we didn’t score in the second half after Winks replaced Dembele…

        • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 11:44 am

Winks shows a lot of aggression but his plays aren’t quite paying dividends yet.

      • Caspurs 30/09/2018 at 11:50 am

We know you’re not a fan of Dembele but, to single him out is unfair. The entire team are guilty of a slow passing tempo, not just one player. The languid tempo of our play is largely the responsibility of Poch, and something I feel he needs to address, we shouldn’t need to take 4 passes to switch play from one side of the pitch to the other if it can be done with fewer passes. Slow passing directly effects the ability of other players to make runs to and exploit space and create chances.

        • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 12:05 pm

Absolutely Cas. While Dembele isnt the complete all round central midfielder,he has done more for our team than most. Winks may well grow into the role of central midfielder supreme but so far he has been at best ok. Dembele has generally been a stalwart for us. He isnt creative (and thats an asset to have for the position) but he does provide a flow generally and is strong on the defensive side. Taff is always hammering Dembele with no reasonable and rational view of his play

          • Frontwheel 2 30/09/2018 at 12:10 pm

I’m trying to work out what he has done, what has he actually produced ?

            • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 12:20 pm

He’s a holding player and a destroyer. His primary role is not to lose control of midfield.

              • UnkleTaff 30/09/2018 at 12:21 pm

So where was he yesterday during that first half when Huddersfield were all over us?

                • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 12:22 pm

I said it was his role. If he doesn’t fulfil it is another question.

He is coming to the end of his time with us no doubt but we havent replaced him. Dembele has has many great years with us,often being the best player on the field. To treat him like this is disgusting

                    • McG ⚽⚽ 30/09/2018 at 1:45 pm

Yeah have to agree with that, he’s been immense, & will still have a few major roles to play this season. He walks all over Winks, & that’s him at the end of his career & Winks at the beginning of his.

              • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 30/09/2018 at 12:30 pm

That’s my view as well, he provides stability and is extremely effective in being hard to disposses. Yes he loses the ball occasionally but no where near as much as others do. He allows others to find space by holding the ball and has the ability to move past players better than most, if not all. For some reason, when he does lose it he gets slaughtered, even when it doesnt effect the match. In my view he’s been magnificent for us over the years.

                • Frontwheel 2 30/09/2018 at 12:34 pm

No doubt, but as Ron said,he’s coming to the end and has been for some time,we have to find a replacement, buy in or get one of our squad players to perform the role he fails to do.

                  • SpurAndy 🍒 🥧 30/09/2018 at 12:36 pm

            • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 12:24 pm

What do you mean by produced? Are you talking goals and assists? Well he hasnt played that type of role for us generally. Poch plays him as a first line defender in midfield and as a passer on to get a flow going. Over the years he has done a great job at that. Maybe you cant understand the intangability of that but he many times has been our strongest player.
This season it hasnt been easy for his but has it been easy for Dier?
Dembele isnt the complete player but what he can do not a lot of players can and thats to play both defensive (tackling) and attacking (passing the ball on while protecting it)
What do you want him to be,Zidane???????????????

              • Frontwheel 2 30/09/2018 at 12:37 pm

I mean what actually comes from his play, just being hard to knock of the ball doesn’t cut it anymore, and he’s not even doing that particuarly well these days.I’m not hating the fellow,in the past he served us well, just not now, imo.

                • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 12:41 pm

So far there hasnt been a suitable replacement Fronty. Maybe Winks will pick that up.But he wont be as strong as Dembele and maybe better on opening up defences which is not what Dembele does.
I think part of it is Pochs system,so if Winks is the guy,it will be interesting to see how is is told to play and if the position will evolve or not

  • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 12:16 pm

On the game,it was totally uninspiring to me. Infact Huddersfield were better than us. The defenders are taking too much time to get the ball going forward. Sanchez looks afraid of his own shadow. Huddersfield marking and pressing was fantastic and will our slow build up and lack of imagination we went nowhere. The one player that is impressing and getting back to form is Danny Rose.He is beginning to look the player that he was before the injury, not there yet but getting there. His intensity has gone up the last couple of games as well.
I do like Gazza in goal,he looks the business, and Kane looked sharper though he was hassled by the defence. Moura was having a go all game and is a great fighter.
Winks looked capable. Eriksen was missed and so was was Dele.I t
Our great pressing for the past few seasons and fitness levels have been emulated by many teams now. So all thats left is quality. We need to take more chances and kick it up a bit emotinally

    • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 12:30 pm

Pochettino’s hallmark of the first three seasons was the turnover in the opponents half and pressure on the goal. In the past year or so we’ve seen us doing less pressing. Now we’re trying to learn to play out from the back but it’s taking so many passes that the opposition are set in their formation. Liverpool did to us, what we used to do, win back possession high up and immediately be in on goal.

Perhaps someone knows why we’ve changed?

      • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 12:36 pm

Sanchez is the first guy usually who starts it and hits always the same passes left or right. Whats the point of that. Its to maybe change the angle? It seems to leave is un a worse position. I cant see why Dier or someone cant pick up the ball still inside but on the angle. That would start it off better. Then not a lot of our players are running into space.
I think Pochs game is made to create pressure against the other teams and not condusive to a good flow. He wants than to play their positions and no be creative. We need to open up the other teams quicker and that takes creativity

        • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 12:53 pm

The passing game from the back depends on the defenders being unflappable on the ball and the midfield being secure in their ball control and passing. Sanchez is young and doesn’t look totally comfortable, Dier makes unforced errors, Sissoko can’t control a ball, Dembele holds the ball well but passes back too much, Winks chases the ball and is too often out of position, Wanyama isn’t much of a passer he prefers running forward. We’re definitely missing a player in the middle to be a general.

          • Ronwol1960-61🕎⚽🎷🎥 30/09/2018 at 1:07 pm

I thought the only player we needed was to replace Dembele. We kicked around many names. Different types of players. But all players that would control the ball and maybe better passes as we have too few creative players.
I didn like Kovacic as a similar role to Dembele or Ndombele,Malcom etc and there were several others and I would take Grealish even though i see him further up the field.
Its a difficult position to fill as we need more creativity but the position also demands some power

  • McG ⚽⚽ 30/09/2018 at 3:36 pm

I was quite interested to read Hartley’s post re Dier being immense yesterday, kept giving silly balls away was my recollection. Looking at his stats this season, he’s slightly down on pass % & aerials won, not hugely tho. Does seem to keep making some daft blind passes tho.

    • Ronwol196061 30/09/2018 at 4:03 pm

      Mcg wish your wife better.
As far as Dier goes.. I think our dominance physically of teams that we enjoyed for a while under Poch has diminished as the other teams have equalled our fitness. When you take that into the equation you are just left with football skills.
That will be the difference this season.
We have not flowed per se.
      Something has to give.
I was impressed with Rose, Gazza, Moura and Kane yesterday.. Also I thought Wanyama and Winks both looked ok.
Not having Eriksen and Dele hurt and Trippier wasn’t getting too much done going forward on the right

      • McG ⚽⚽ 30/09/2018 at 4:40 pm

She says thanks! I’m really loving Moura, really would like to see Lamela good for 90 & these two gaining an understanding of each other. I’m not sure if others have caught up fitness wise or not, we seem slightly off the pace, easily have another two gears we’ve yet to see this season.

    • Elyid 30/09/2018 at 4:09 pm

I picked up on that comment from Hartley too, I am glad he made it and he was there so he saw it for himself. I think we defended well in the second half and DIer was at the heart of it. He is a good player, maybe his game has slipped lately in terms of his passing but he hasn’t become a bad player.

      • Ronwol196061 30/09/2018 at 4:19 pm

        Passing is important isn’t it?

      • Hartley 30/09/2018 at 4:21 pm

It was all a bit tongue in cheek to be honest although I thought he did OK in the first half in a very packed midfield, in the second half after dropping in to the back three he dominated their attackers and deserved a lot of credit. He’s the only player we have that can play those two positions comfortably amd gets too much unwarranted stick for my liking.

Measuring an obvious shot then, although obvious, calling the umpire to confirm basically wasting time in a timed game.

Rolling a short jack, obviously legal, but player calls for a measure, once again only time wasting, but a legal way to do it.

Walking to the head to check the position of bowls and clearly no reason to do it as they are miles away, again just wasting time.

Rain shower comes over, still playable, yet players walk off the green down at the head, what can you do?

Player asks permission to leave for a wee break, is gone 10 minutes, all time lost, gamesmanship?

  • stevo1987 30/09/2018 at 7:37 pm

Good evening folks. Just got back from the Christening in Essex. Trousers were worn and Mrs Stevo drove home. I hope that makes some sense to some people.

    • Ronwol196061 30/09/2018 at 7:42 pm

      What did you wear Stevo?

  • stevo1987 30/09/2018 at 7:57 pm

I was suited and booted as they say. Well almost. It was a pleasant afternoon even though I always feel a fraud being in church being a non believer.

    • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 8:13 pm

But.., all things bright and boeutiful.. when spurs win.

  • stevo1987 30/09/2018 at 8:12 pm

Anyway, I read on here that Dier played really well second half against Huddersfield. Is that true as I only watched the first half and tbh he was poor? I say this as a fan but he really has not improved and I think he has gone backwards. What’s up with Eric?

    • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 8:14 pm

      He needs a *banana.

      • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 8:16 pm

Sorry Stevo, that one is for the 80’s kids.

        • Caspurs 30/09/2018 at 8:18 pm

Er, nope, I’m still non the wiser, so nuffink new there then..

          • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 8:25 pm

                    It explains a lot. 🙂

    • Caspurs 30/09/2018 at 8:15 pm

He replaced Verts in defence in the 2nd half and did look better in that position.

      • stevo1987 30/09/2018 at 8:37 pm

Good. To me he looks like he needs a good kick up the proverbial. Just too laid back. No fire in his belly.

      • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 11:58 pm

He looked a different player despite filling in on his weaker side. Much more decisive; I’d say on that evidence he isn’t very happy with decision making at CM as evidenced by his many misplaced passes.

  • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 8:29 pm

Id much rather play crap and win then play sexy and win at this stage of the season. Anyone that would take 4th right now needs their heads tested.

Dig? It’s not a root vegetable..

Which reminds me…We’re Not that far away from a nice seasonal root veggie roast.. but it has to be with lamb.

      Why don’t you eat pork?

      • Superspoz 🏆 30/09/2018 at 9:49 pm

The flavour in lamb is superb but I think it’s hard pushed to find a flavour that can top crackling. Jeez for a dirty animal that man some taste buoy !! Pork scratchings luverly *bellisima

If it was from US, it’s bison. Buffalos are found in the Old World.

Bison, aka buffalo, is very good. Leaner meat than beef. Tasty.

It’s a great game Ron, bugged the shit out of me at first, late goals etc but it’s fun. Glad I don’t put money down cause 7 out of 10 results is about norm.

  • Chauvelin 30/09/2018 at 11:55 pm

Hey Phatty, on your recommendation I watched the first two episodes of Goliath. William Hurt is a standout as the really creepy sociopath ‘Big Brother is watching you’. The final two scenes of the second episode were tremendous.

    Deleted for potentially spoilerific content.

Not sure who deleted my joke above, but the whole point was that I completely made it up, I’m not the sort to spoil an end to someone’s viewing (I did think I made that quite clear with my comment further down from the original joke, obviously not clear enough though).

Hi folks…how is everyone? Happy and healthy little yids.
Public Holiday here so very lazy day. Anyone know who is definitely out for the Barca game.

    • Chauvelin 01/10/2018 at 9:17 am

The mighty Spurs are top of the list in Physioroom with eight players out. I don’t think Dele will make Barca or even the next PL game, but it looks like there’s a reasonable chance for Lloris, Eriksen, Dembele, Verts to play.

Does anyone know what Dele did? He looked fine in the cup at his home stadium what with him scoring the final penalty and now he’s out? What gives?

      • McG 01/10/2018 at 10:24 am

I think Poch should have eased up on his training regime personally, he played the full 90 vs Watford & we knew he was only just back from a hammy on international duty. Pulling up in training on Friday was avoidable imo.

        • SpurAndy 🥧🍒 01/10/2018 at 10:27 am

I think Poch has a generally good history of not rushing players back, hasn’t he? Maybe this was completely unconnected so just an unfortunate circumstance.

    • Fatty B 01/10/2018 at 9:27 am

Real Fan is definitely ‘out’ for the Barcelona game if you know what I mean.
