Juan Beckenbauer

Last night we were (mostly) privileged to watch the emergence of what could well be an outstanding footballer. Pretty much everything Juan Foyth did last night oozed class. From his sense of positional awareness, through the timing of his tackles up to the ease with which he brought the ball out of defence, he made everything look easy — surely the mark of an exceptional talent. I know it was only West Ham, but I saw enough last night to make me think that comparisons with the great Franz Beckenbauer won’t be too far wide of the mark. Apart from one misplaced pass and a tug that should have resulted in a booking, he put in a faultless display and one which, no doubt, will have most of us looking forward to the day when he’s a first-team regular.

Here’s a video of all his touches. It’s well worth a look (or two).

I’m not sure if I’ve ever been this exited about a defender before!

  • Ronwol1960-61πŸ•Žβš½πŸŽ·πŸŽ₯ 01/11/2018 at 10:28 am

Thanks for the clips Taff. I didnt see the whole game but there were two incredible outstanding tackles there and a whole bunch of maturity and cool headedness in Foyth.

Quick note for Ant. Keep strong Mate

  • SpurAndy πŸ₯§πŸ’ 01/11/2018 at 10:31 am

Thank you for that Taff, didn’t see all the match but it’s clear the kids got talent. Great positional sense and like the way he’s constantly trying to move the ball forward instead of side to side. It’s worth making the point that although at times our buying strategy looks flawed when a player like Janssen, Nkoudoo, Njie etc comes in if you can unearth one diamond amongst them then it’s probably what’s to be expected. You’re going to get more misses than hits, but the hits hopefully make it worth it.

  • Ronwol1960-61πŸ•Žβš½πŸŽ·πŸŽ₯ 01/11/2018 at 10:40 am

Its obvious that we approached this game with energy and verve and confidence. Cant understand why. I hope this game turned things around and we can attack games full of life instead of looking like rabbits in headlights of cars. Really want to see more of the things that we’ve shown over the past couple of seasons that have been missing a lot of our lay in this one. I mean we have played teams even in Europe that were worse than West Ham and we’ve not not looked like we did yesterday. The injection of some of these kids helped. More please!

  • GDawg 01/11/2018 at 10:48 am

Nice of Pooch to finally share this kid with the rest of us (I know he’s been injured). Looks like a guy who could easily make a place for himself in and around the first team

  • Freund or Foe 01/11/2018 at 11:01 am

    Nice one Taff.
Haven’t watched the game, but watching those clips was very reassuring. He can pass! He actually looks to find a team mate with clearances. He’s comfortable on the ball, even under pressure. Me likey.

    • UnkleTaff 01/11/2018 at 11:10 am

Teams might think twice about employing the high press against us if we have two players (Foyth and Winks) who are comfortable in driving forward through the middle thus exploiting the gaps behind.

      • Freund or Foe 01/11/2018 at 11:16 am

Agree. Verts does that really well, it’s been noticeably lacking recently. We bring pressure on ourselves.

        • UnkleTaff 01/11/2018 at 11:19 am

It’s a shame that Vertonghen’s at the wrong end of his career as a CD partnership of him and Foyth would be a thing to savour. Hopefully we can get to see at least a year’s worth of it.

      • HD πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ 01/11/2018 at 2:18 pm

Unk, thank you for highlights and effort. Well done to you and Foyth.

  • Shelfy 01/11/2018 at 11:03 am

I like the cut of his jib. The only thing I know about a jib is it is a sail but nevertheless this kid has what it takes.
I like his positive approach. Almost every pass was forward which is unusual for our backs these days.
I have seen him ply on the left side of a pairing and on the right and he looked equally comfortable.

  • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 11:24 am

Great little highlights package. Thanks Taff.

Everyone’s written what I’m thinking. Foyth has surely earned the right to play again soon. He looks totally aware and assured. Even when he was down on the ground he touched the ball away from Antonio and make it too difficult for him to get a shot off. Impressive.

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 11:25 am

What I will mention is that some articles in recent weeks said Pochettino wasn’t happy with Foyth’s development. Now that looks to be yet more lies and bullshit from the great British media.

The Standard story was a fair update. Dan Kilpatrick ‘believes’ Spurs are close to an agreement with Eriksen’s representatives at around the same numbers as Alli accepted. Being 150kpw.

My thoughts on wages in general is that if players get very good basic money, that their bonuses can’t be so generous. Swings and roundabouts.

            • foeorfreund 01/11/2018 at 12:33 pm

Saw Niki Lauda years ago in a restaurant in Vienna, he in the company of a statuesque Valkyrie of pleasing proportions. The two were knocking back drinks at an admirable clip but showing no signs of sloppiness or distress. The moral of this vignette: blame fire and the wheel, but weep not for Lauda. He’s done quite well, as one would expect from a champion of his caliber.

                    • Fatty B 01/11/2018 at 2:08 pm

  • foeorfreund 01/11/2018 at 1:32 pm

    Dele speaks…
Alli said: “It’s a nice gesture from the chairman, I had a few years left on my old contract, but nothing changes I’m still going to keep working as hard as I can, keep fighting and trying to be a part of this team and help as much as I can.

“I owe a lot of thanks to Poch for where I am at the minute in my career, him, Jesus [Perez], Migi [Miguel d’Agostino], Toni [Jimenez] they’re keen to keep improving and heading in the right direction and I can’t think of a better place for someone of my age and where I am in my career, to have such amazing support and coaching staff to help me keep improving, that’s what I want to do, keep improving as a player and a person.

“It was a big part of it [Pochettino being the manger] the club is amazing, the players as well, it’s a special bunch of boys here, everyone gets on really well, but Poch is the one we’re working with all the time, it’s his philosophy, that is why we love playing here so when I think about signing Poch plays a big part of that.”

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 1:35 pm

That’s as worrying as it is heartening. If Pochettino left, back to Year Zero?

      • UnkleTaff 01/11/2018 at 1:36 pm

It’s only worrying if you’re prepared to countenance the notion of Pochettino leaving any time soon.

        Which I’m not.

        • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 1:39 pm

It does point to the players being attracted and loyal to Pochettino rather than the club. No one should be bigger than the club.

          • Fatty B 01/11/2018 at 1:47 pm

Dele: […] It’s a nice gesture from the chairman […] – […] the club is amazing, the players as well […]

I was thrilled to see Foyth’s play yesterday, albeit on terribly interrupted stream and only bits and pieces. I think Poch has been correct in bringing him along slowly, making sure he was ready. Given the quality of those in the same position as his I am sure he has had to learn patience, which will benefit him in the long run. Well done young man.

On a personal note, being away, on a trip, my participation has been hit and miss. I missed last night blogging with Ant but I just want to say stay strong. Those who can rise from the low points in life can become amongst the best. You can do this.

        Foyth is Welsh for ‘bitter’.

In the late 19th century Welsh settlers emigrated to Patagonia.

I’d be very surprised indeed if these two facts aren’t connected in some way.

    Chauvelin

One thing you can never say about Levy is that he’s a fly-by-night. He’s been in it for the long term.
I’ll bet this stadium build has given him some grey hairs.

I see Levy as a back, sack and crack kinda guy – completely hairless from below the eyebrows down.

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 2:46 pm

Poch told Levy at the start of last summer to go out and get a Brazilian. How they laughed when Daniel showed him what he did.

  • TCY 01/11/2018 at 2:45 pm

Enough joking for the mo. One for our man Ant–Be strong lad. Didn’t see your remarks last night until a little while ago. Don’t think you could get better advice than Merrance offered. My sentiments exactly–he put it so very well.

    Crikey…
    https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-6342409/Tottenham-fans-attacked-angry-West-Ham-supporters.html

Very brave, attacking two fellas when you have hundreds of like-minded twats around you.

I recall a similar thing happening at Wembley last season, can’t remember who the opposition were, but some away fans in our end were getting some pretty serious stick. Not nice, and not necessary.

    • SpurAndy πŸ₯§πŸ’ 01/11/2018 at 3:27 pm

      Twattery knows no borders.

  • Flat Oeuf 01/11/2018 at 3:10 pm

I’m going to go out on a limb and say I think we’ll do some good business in January. I reckon some of the recent comments by Poch, even if they were balanced with other positives, and the real possibility of Real/Yanited coming on strong for him this summer, could propel Levy to sanction a decent purchase, or even two.
Now that Dele/HK are in the Β£150-Β£200k per week range, with CE to follow hopefully, we’re getting closer to competing on wages + bonuses so that, even if we’re not going to pay sky-high transfer fees, we can at least offer a decent carrot…if you take into account everything else that is part of the package.

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 3:26 pm

      I second your hopes.

  • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 3:35 pm

First time I went to Highbury I went on my own and ended up in the wrong part of the stadium. I have to say the Arsenal fans were surprised but not threatening towards me.

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 3:36 pm

Despite me cheering when Duncan scored.

  • foeorfreund 01/11/2018 at 3:56 pm

I hope so but I think it strongly depends on who moves on given our squad is full (even without Foyth in the CL squad and Jansen out of all squads) so we have to sell someone to make space
It’s not just about the money anymore.

    • foeorfreund 01/11/2018 at 4:24 pm

Sounded like this was part of the problem in the summer.
So who should we get rid of? Tough.
N’Koudou would be no great loss, and as much as Sissoko is improved, we can do better.
After that I’m not too sure. Llorente? Wanyama? Is it too soon to dismiss Aurier?

      • Flat Oeuf 01/11/2018 at 4:49 pm

I’d like to keep Serge, he’s improving. GKN is a no-brainer. I think we could sell one of Wanyama or the Mous(s)as if we bought a top quality replacement.

    I’m very hopeful.
Hope his international break works out.
    And Lamela’s!

    • Bruxie 01/11/2018 at 4:25 pm

Foyth’s speed over the first 5 mtrs is really very good.

  • ashley collie 01/11/2018 at 4:41 pm

Thanks for posting, fellow Taff. I saw it in his very first game for us, composure on the ball, like Hoddle in a different position, of course. I wonder if Foyth may also get a shot at libero or in front of our CBs, a very different type of CM for us? Nice energy from the young lads last night. They’ve been given chances before but never really took them, maybe some maturity has helped along with adding in a dash of Alli and Eriksen. Great to give Harry/Moura/Toby a rest. COYMFS!

    • Flat Oeuf 01/11/2018 at 4:51 pm

Evening Ashley, I was also wondering if Foyth could be a great ball-playing CDM. I though he might be on the short side for a CB, but he’s 6’1” ish and seemed to deal with the physical side ok last night, even in the air.

      • Caspurs 01/11/2018 at 4:59 pm

The very same thought had crossed my mind, although it’d be nice if we could sign Frenkie de Jong (unlikely I know).

Agreed, mate. Thanks for replying. I would like to see the young lads not only given a chance but also take that chance with both feet and do something with it. PS What’s the deal on Lloris, is he out for 3 CL games, and would you like to see Gazza start vs PSV?

    Surely you’d ask the DWP?

Apparently the Department for Health haven’t bothered to ask.
They haven’t provided enough flu vaccines for the over 65s.
They have a weaker version for the under 65s – but I’m not allowed to have it as I’m 65 next February.

    Greetings, all πŸ™‚

I recall one of the videos taken when Juan first joined the squad. He gave a very humble statement that was basically along the lines of his wanting to work hard enough in training and long enough and training to one day be truly first choice for both his manager and for the fans.

Great ethic and attitude straight away. It looks like he may have the talent to match. That’s a kid I can easily support through a few mistakes.

    • Flat Oeuf 01/11/2018 at 5:24 pm

Spot on, MiTty. He looks and sounds a gem. PSG can fack right off.

  • wasdanspurs 01/11/2018 at 4:59 pm

Great vid, Taff. Thanks for posting. Was interesting to see how comfy Sanchez looked playing on the left of the pairing too. Tobes has still looked one of our better players since Verts was out, but he never looks comfortable on the left to me, and we lose his cross-field passes, which is something Sanchez doesn’t seem to attempt.

      I just cannot stand inefficiency.

      • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 5:48 pm

I’m sorry Bruxie. The premise of your question confused me.

As we all know, there is no joined up government. Each department fights its own wars.

Did you think the fragmented NHS (courtesy of Tony Blair and David Cameron) would work efficiently?

        • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 6:01 pm

The NHS is now a bureaucratic nightmare. When our local protest group has tried to stop the closure of our local hospitals, we’ve been passed from one body to another and none claims responsibility for decision making.

          • Bruxie 01/11/2018 at 6:04 pm

It’s not the NHS…it’s the Department for Health that is the problem!

I think the brains trust expected a couple of departures in the summer particularly Dembele and Jansen to create space.
This summer a few may be out of contract but that doesn’t help in January.

The situation around Janssen this summer is a curious and frustrating one. Players returned for pre-season on 9th July and were pictured going through their paces…except Janssen, even though he was seen training at Hotspur Way. He had recovered from a 4 month lay off due to a toe injury last season to play a few games at the end. The indication was that Poch wanted to sell him and he ended up losing the No. 9 shirt for the new season. Then it was announced that he had suffered a foot injury and he was going to have surgery…on 21st August!
Fenerbahce were reported to want to sign him. So we have a player who’s surplus to requirements, fit and ready to move..but there’s no movement for a full 6 weeks…and then he gets injured and it’s too late to do business.
Surely it would have been better to do early business, even if we didnt recoup the full Β£17m, and have that money avaialble for another purchase (a Β£15m down-payment can get you a good player if the rest is spread over the length of the contract).
I know there might be information missing here, but this looks like our notorious slow starts in the transfer market caused us an issue this time.
To be fair, he’s (still) currently listed as β€˜No Return Date’ on PhysioRoom. On the other hand, HITC (source article Fotospor in Turkey) reporting yesterday that Galatasaray are interested in him this January if his injury is sorted).

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 5:56 pm

PLUS Janssen’s (probably small) wages whilst he languishes in our treatment room. It’s a lose-lose.

    • Shelfy 01/11/2018 at 5:58 pm

They probably have to pay him more than the loss they would have made by selling early in the summer.
I really liked Jansen when I saw him play. Looked to me like he worked his tail of for the team. Seemed strange how Poch got so annoyed when journalists compared Jansen and Llorente.

    • Flat Oeuf 01/11/2018 at 6:27 pm

Apparently he’s on a mere Β£25-Β£30k per week. Peanuts, really.

It does point to the players being attracted and loyal to Pochettino rather than the club. No one should be bigger than the club.

Lets not kid ourselves, if Pooch left there will be a stampeed for the exit door from a fair few of our best players. Levy knows this and i wouldn’t be surprised if we sign some decent players this Jan and in the summer as Pooch wanting out is not a road Levy wants to go down. Evening chaps

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 7:48 pm

This is my concern. Give an interest, like Pochettino earning share options in THFC.

Good idea, and any players who want in.

        • Freund or Foe 01/11/2018 at 8:01 pm

I’m thinking of switching teams. Can I gets me some of that share option stuff?

          • Shelfy 01/11/2018 at 8:06 pm

There are rules preventing players being paid in shares
I am not sure if that also applies to coaching staff.
I got share options at work years ago. They went up to almost a million dollars gain but I wasn’t allowed to sell them. Then the crash happened and they were worthless not just worth less.
Then I got laid off. I often dream of what might have been.

I applaud Tracey Crouch MP for her principled decision to resign from the Government over its decision to delay the reduction in betting machine limits until October 2019. She went up even further in my estimation when I saw her wearing a Spurs shirt in a photo on tonight’s Sky News. A smart woman!!

      Any relation to Peter Crouch?

    • Chauvelin 01/11/2018 at 10:36 pm

There was some apparatchik trying to bluster their way into saying next October would be fine to make the changes to betting. Couldn’t explain why they had to wait another year. This betting terminal saga is another piece of crap laid at the door of Tony Blair who made it legal. At the time it made no sense to allow a boom in gambling terminals.

Sounds like fun, I’ve got a prob with me pond so some head scratching for me as well. Lost another fish yesterday and found out it had white spot desease. Means rest of the fish will have it as well. Need to use Formalin (not a nice chemical) to treat the pond but its only useable where the water is above 10 degrees. Haven’t checked the temp yet but probably borderline. Nothing is ever simple. Like following Tottenham.

          • Caspurs 02/11/2018 at 8:36 am

            • SpurAndy πŸ₯§πŸ’ 02/11/2018 at 8:41 am

Difficult to say but probably not as I got my local koi shop to test at the time and it was clear. They say introducing new fish (which I did couple of months ago) can stress them which can result in an outbreak. Not had it in the pond before and expert reckons I could lose a few more fish in the process so keeping my fingers 🀞.

And as a designer, I just couldn’t accept an exposed pan connector. Ugly, unhygienic dust trap. It has to be wall hung, or at the very worst, fully BTW.

Just looking at the League table and so far we’ve been decent in defence but the lack of goals puts us on a par with midtable Everton, Watford, Leicester, ManUre and three goals behind Bournemouth. That’s got to change and soon, or that dreaded gap with top four will widen. We don’t want to go back to the pre-Poch era situation.

But why are Spurs not offering extra loyalty points for fans who turn up at Wembley – when lots of regulars are taking the rebates and not going to games?

It’s a strange period in our history and there’s a “nod to the fans” to be had here.

    • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 7:52 pm

At the moment Doctor Who would struggle to best The Clangers for plot or excitement. Or sci-fi content.

      • Shelfy 02/11/2018 at 7:54 pm

So I’m not the only one tremendously underwhelmed by the new series. Frankly I don’t care the the Dr is female and to be fair she does a decent job acting the part but the drivel in the script she is given is … well disappointing to say the least.

        • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 7:58 pm

They’ve ticked all the politically correct boxes possible and given the new doctor scripts to educate us all about civil rights movements, pollution, someone who is a parody of Donald Trump, but sadly forgot to include much science fiction.

          • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 8:00 pm

Talking of which, the sci-fi movie ‘Splice’ is on the Horror channel (Freeview 70) tonight at 9pm.

            • Shelfy 02/11/2018 at 8:06 pm

I am stateside so don’t think I have Freeview 70
Seems to me that the few shows I watch from the BBC are nearly all politically correct. They seem to always have a gay character or two, a woman in a position of power, a middle aged white guy as the villain.
Its the same over here. I was in a cafe for lunch recently and the TV was showing a cooking contest. Some of the contestants were gay and they seemed to need to make sure they discussed it.
The cute heterosexual gal didn’t get to talk about her sexual preferences! I’ll probably be reported to the me to movement for that comment.

            • Fat Bertha 02/11/2018 at 8:07 pm

I’m thoroughly sick and tired of the BBC’s liberal left agenda driven broadcasting. I’m on the verge of ditching the TV altogether.

              • Shelfy 02/11/2018 at 8:09 pm

We watch some Netflix original programming. It is even worse! We rarely watch more than a couple of episodes before giving up.

              • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 8:10 pm

Yes well Dr Who is testing my patience. It seems to be thoroughly in the hands of the gay mafia now. The lady doctor even wears a rainbow t-shirt shirt. No prizes for guessing what that’s about.

              • SpurAndy πŸ₯§πŸ’ 02/11/2018 at 8:19 pm

Whereas I don’t think it’s liberal enough. I want them to be more liberal. I don’t think you can have enough liberal, in fact if the title of the program doesn’t have liberal in it I refuse to watch it. Apart from that agree about Dr Who, far to liberal.

                • Fat Bertha 02/11/2018 at 8:25 pm

That’s a rather, er … generous smattering of the word ‘liberal’.

Currently the series is a travelogue of Sheffield. For god’s sake let’s have a far flung alien encounter and if possible, some violent and evil villains who shout ‘exterminate’.

I read the BBC news website most days and recently I got a survey because they recognized I was overseas.
The questions were in the style of a statement with the ‘answers’ ranging from strongly agree to strongly disagree.
Most of the questions were loaded and assumed I went to the BBC to get fair, unbiased, reliable factual information.
I nearly died laughing. What happened to the days when they just reported the news rather than telling us what to think about the news?

  • Shelfy 02/11/2018 at 8:19 pm

Lakeland Florida – midway between Tampa and Orlando. A big storm just brewed up, I think the leading edge (where Tornados form) just passed by us, so the ask is reducing. A few houses had their roofs ripped off not too far away from us.

              • Shelfy 02/11/2018 at 8:36 pm

We have a few snakes too and occasional sharks in the sea, but not as bad as Australia…
Crocs are worse than gators, their spiders are worse than the ones on Dr. Who and they have the ten most poisonous snakes in the world not to mention stingers (jelly fish). I was on a beach on the Gold Coast and there was a huge warning sign… Crocs, Stingers, Sharks and rip tides. I decided not to swim that day.

I actually think there will be a technological fix for the climactic problem. It’s just that there’s too much money to be made scaring the shit out of the middle classes first. I’ve heard various solutions from scientists and wonder why they are never mentioned much: then I realise they want us to buy electric cars, etc etc and junk all our existing stuff.

They could for instance put satellites into an orbit several million miles from the earth between us and the sun, and unfurl large solar reflectors. At that distance they would reduce sunlight by a small percentage but still sufficiently to obviate the heating problem. Their position can be manipulated as required.

          • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 10:36 pm

In case you didn’t know, we currently have no less than four satellites at the Lagrange point L1, one million miles from the earth studying the sun. The SOHO satellite has been there since 1995 showing how stable this idea is. It’s designed life was just 3 years but it’s still operating.

          • Caspurs 02/11/2018 at 10:44 pm

Or perhaps we should consider how we look after ourselves and the planet? Plastics are a big environmental issue, not to mention our short sighted over enthusiastic use of antibiotics, which if continued will likely end in tears for us all.
There are many instances where solutions are possible, including technology, but business/profit is deemed more important than our long term well being, but that’s human nature for you.

            • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 10:59 pm

I fully concur that polymers, or more accurately, damaging polymers, have been used indiscriminately. It appalls me that we currently only recycle LDPE and HDPE whilst PP and PS are sent to land fill.

As someone who is interested in history, I know that the Victorians recycled far more than we did. There was an economic value to selling rags and bones to collectors, metals and glass were always reused. Almost nothing was trashed apart from broken crockery as far as I am aware.

              • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 11:10 pm

However, many natural materials are also far from innocent. The manufacturing of paper has a considerable impact, as does cotton. It’s a complicated topic.

              • Caspurs 02/11/2018 at 11:25 pm

The environment is just one example of our stupidity, as I said the over use of antibiotics is another major issue that will dramatically effect people sooner rather than later.
None of the major pharmaceutical companies are funding research into discovering new antibiotics, at a time where the are routinely prescribed, not to mention there increasing use in treating live stock. Super bugs are already here, and will only increase in number until we have no remaining treatment for what we consider common ills. If we don’t find alternative medicines, then health care as we know it will crash, and everything we take for granted will not be possible i.e. surgical operations for a start.
This is just one of many examples of the stupidity society as a whole continue to create. We can see the problems, but until it becomes an imminent/catastrophic danger we fail to act, the difference is nowadays the consequences if one of these potential catastrophes were to happen are far greater and wide reaching, it’s not a country or continent at risk now, the effects will be global.

You may be interested that the Soviets (before the iron curtain fell) were researching the use of viruses to kill bacterial infections. They had some success. I don’t know what happened to those scientists. Their logic was that if a bacteria mutated to become resistant, the virus would also mutate to kill it again.

I believe governments are now paying the damn pharma to look for new antibiotics. So much for ‘free market’ economics being an efficient driver.

None of these things will concern us if that meteor hits the earth in 2032. Presently it’s rated at a risk of 0.02% very small but still tangible.

    • Chauvelin 02/11/2018 at 11:54 pm

Our overheating earth will then experience a ‘nuclear winter’, so that should about cancel things out.

The AI machines will rescue us.

        Sweet dreams.

Actually, the threat from that rock is receding. It was much closer in 2016. However since we never spotted it until 2013…

    HALIBUT UPDATE:

Hi guys just a quick update about our friend Tim. He and I have been communicating lately especially about our beloved Spurs but he did provide the following:

“Should be an easy win Wolves the week end Greg. On a health update mate, I have scans next Friday 11th. Hoping the regrowing cancers have been stopped by the heavy chemo πŸ‘πŸ‘”

    • Caspurs 03/11/2018 at 2:29 am

It’s never going to work, likely a tool which those involved will use to negotiate with UEFA for leverage. UCL is already a bit boring in terms of teams facing each other season in season out (ask Bayern fans it gets boring stuffing Arsenal year in year out) the fans have almost zero appitite for this.
I’m going to Palace next Sat for the first time and looking forward to it, it will be a great day out which will cost me Β£30 for the ticket and probably Β£50 odd for transport and beer. I’m also going to Barcelona which has cost me Β£150 flights and hotel, Β£64 for a ticket and three days off work Β£500, throw in spending money and i’m looking at the best part of Β£1,000 for the game. I can do this once a season perhaps i could stretch it to a game in the spring if we can somehow still quallify, but a European Super League? Do me a favor!

Wolves bringing on some guys you’ve never heard of.

  • SeattleSpursGuy 03/11/2018 at 9:05 pm

Arrived in the UK. Hotel WiFi works for her indoors but not for me! Bloody technology.
Anyway I am a proud dad today because my youngest daughter did life saving CPR today. Her first time. She said it was intense but exciting. She is a student nurse.
